Cosmetic bonding describes a procedure, which has been used for many years in dentistry, of placing composite white filling material directly onto the tooth to change the shape or colour. It is minimally invasive, quick and more cost effective than veneers. It does require regular maintenance due to the nature of the material but this can be done in a single visit. It is an excellent procedure for making minor changes to the shape of a tooth or teeth or closing small spaces and straightening edges. It is the same procedure that would be undertaken to provide a white filling.
